An intrepid British spy boards the聽NIGHT TRAIN TO MUNICH聽in a desperate attempt to rescue a scientist and his daughter from the Nazis. A wartime thriller with just the right amount of puckish humor, a very fine cast including Rex Harrison, Margaret Lockwood, and Paul Henreid (before appearing as Victor Laszlo in聽Casablanca), and excellent production values. The film, masterfully directed by the legendary聽Carol Reed聽(who also made such iconic films as聽The Third Man,听Our Man in Havana,听补苍诲听Odd Man Out) marks the return of characters Charters and Caldicott (played by Basil Radford and Nauton Wayne, respectively). Stylish, witty, fast, dramatic, and politically charged – an excellent wartime spy thriller.
