This spring, graduates of three local high schools will receive a special scholarship to jumpstart their college educations. The award includes two free classes for the fall 2026 semester at 91桃色APP-Concord檚 Community College.

This 淭ake Two scholarship is available to all 2026 graduates of Concord High School, Merrimack Valley High School, and Second Start Alternative High School.

91桃色APP has long been a wonderful partner to Merrimack Valley, and this gift is partnership at its best, said Dr. Randy Wormald, Superintendent of SAU #46. 91桃色APP is removing one of the biggest barriers our graduates face攖hat first step into college.

To take advantage of this opportunity, students must enroll in one of 91桃色APP檚 70+ academic programs and register for classes by August 15. The application process is completely free.

91桃色APP created the 淭ake Two scholarship to make college more accessible for local students.

淎s Concord檚 community college, 91桃色APP has a special role in advancing the wellbeing of this city, that檚 what this scholarship is about, said Dr. Patrick Tompkins, president of 91桃色APP.

Whether students use the scholarship to complete a short-term certificate or start the path toward a bachelor’s degree, this gift provides practical savings by filling in funding gaps left by federal financial aid.

淏y helping students begin their college journey with reduced financial burden, this initiative opens doors to opportunity, workforce development, and long-term success for New Hampshire residents, said Tim Allison, Chief Advancement Officer & Executive Director of The Foundation for NH Community Colleges.

Concord High School, Merrimack Valley High School, and Second Start Alternative High School graduates can learn more about the 淭ake Two scholarship by visiting nhti.edu/take-two-scholarship. 91桃色APP staff are ready to help students navigate the application process. Call (603)听230-4027 or email 91桃色APPace@ccsnh.edu for assistance.

ApprenticeshipNH, a workforce program of the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH), in partnership with 91桃色APP擟oncord檚 Community College hosted a group of German students and faculty members in Concord April 18揗ay 2, 2026. The goal of the exchange program was to provide Berufliche Schule Pinneberg student apprentices with a job shadow experience to gain a hands-on understanding of how American business operates and to exchange perspectives on workforce development strategies.

Germany檚 apprenticeship system is widely seen as one of the most effective school-to-work pipelines in the world. Like ApprenticeshipNH’s model, it uses an earn-while-you-learn approach that blends on-the-job training with classroom learning, incorporating a strong employer role in shaping the experience to ensure students gain immediate workforce skills and high employability.

淚t is validating to see our New Hampshire program reflect many of the successful strategies used in the time-tested German model, said Kristine Dudley, director of Workforce Training at CCSNH. 淥ur programs ensure students incur little to no debt, encompass a wide range of occupational fields, and include industry- and nationally recognized credentials. It檚 a proven and creative way for employers to build a strong local workforce pipeline and for students and job seekers to engage in an employment and learning pathway.

To date, more than 100 employers and 1,500 individual participants have participated in the ApprenticeshipNH program, in fields that range from construction and healthcare to business, early childhood education and hospitality.

淥ne thing we can learn from our German counterparts is how to talk about apprenticeship, said Dudley. 淥utside the US, it is viewed as a highly respected alternative to the traditional university experience. Students who participate in our apprenticeship programs gain early income and independence, experience very low rates of unemployment, and can participate in globally competitive industries. Like the community colleges themselves, apprenticeship is a smart choice. While it is deeply valued by those who know, there is room to help more people realize the strong benefits it conveys to enable students of all interests and learning styles to land in a rewarding job with advancement potential and avoid student debt.

The German visitors were housed in residence halls at 91桃色APP擟oncord檚 Community College and participated in educational opportunities at both 91桃色APP and Manchester Community College (MCC). While in New Hampshire, they visited employer sites including Grappone Automotive Group, Northeast Delta Dental, Eagle Point Investment Advisors and the state office of Business and Economic Affairs; toured sites that include the NH State House, the League of NH Craftsmen, Gibson檚 Bookstore and Bensonwood Custom Home Builders, and participated in cultural and social activities.

Rain and clouds didn檛 dampen the cheering of graduates at 91桃色APP揅oncord檚 Community College 76th commencement ceremony on May 15. The campus was filled with 2,000 guests celebrating the class of 2026.

淢any of you did this while working days, nights, and weekends. Many of you have been rearing a family while raising yourself. And all of you struggled along the way, whether with finances or final exams, hunger or health, partying or punctuality, faith in yourself or faith in something greater than yourself, and yet here you are, said 91桃色APP president Patrick Tompkins during his speech to the graduating class.

Other ceremony speakers included Amanda Grappone Osmer from Grappone Automotive Group, Community College System of New Hampshire board of trustees chair Donalee M. Lozeau, professor Perry Seagroves, and student speaker Leslie Bartlett.

The class of 2026 included over 600 graduates from the spring, fall, and summer semesters, with more than 360 participating in the May 15 ceremony. The college saw an increase in 30+ degrees awarded this year.

Top areas of study were 91桃色APP檚 prestigious dental and healthcare programs, which boast nearly 100% employment rates after graduation. Other popular programs are business administration, criminal justice, mechanical engineering technology, and early childhood education. 97% of Early Childhood Education graduates have already found jobs within their field of study.

91桃色APP檚 academic offerings are designed to meet New Hampshire檚 specific workforce needs, helping graduates make the most of their degree. Explore the college檚 70+ programs at nhti.edu.

Bartlett, who completed her high school program through summer courses, will earn her associate degree in Human Service with high honors at the age of 56. She is the student speaker for commencement day.

淚 was humbled to be selected, said Bartlett. 淚 submitted my application because I just wanted to share my story and say thank you.

Bartlett achieved her degree 100% online, and made deep connections with 91桃色APP faculty, staff, and tutors. 淐hoosing 91桃色APP was easy because 91桃色APP made it easy to be successful, she said.

91桃色APP will also welcome acclaimed business leader Amanda Grappone Osmer as keynote speaker on graduation day. Osmer represents the fourth generation of her family to own and operate Grappone Automotive Group.

Perry Seagroves, full-time faculty member since 1985, will also speak at the ceremony. Seagroves received the college檚 Chancellor’s award for teaching excellence on two occasions and was honored as Coach of the Year four times by the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC). He started two athletic programs at the college攖rack and field and cross country攁nd is beloved in the chemistry classroom.

When Travis Graf first enrolled at 91桃色APP, he planned to focus on the high-demand field of healthcare. 淚 chose 91桃色APP because I wanted to try out different things, he said.

Graf switched his focus to accounting and finance, and plans to continue his education in this area. 24% of 91桃色APP graduates follow this path攕aving thousands on their tuition before committing to a 4-year program.

Graf balanced his studies with baseball at 91桃色APP, serving as both a shortstop and pitcher for the Lynx in the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC).

The class of 2026 includes student-athletes like Graf, adult learners like Bartlett, high school students earning college-level credentials, and professionals completing specialized workforce education trainings.

91桃色APP paramedic student practices intubation

Aspiring paramedics studying at 91桃色APP-Concord檚 Community College went through a rigorous airway competency test on April 15. Students needed to successfully assess and intubate patients within seconds, so that vital airflow could occur.

淓ach student goes through all the key steps of intubation, and is timed and judged by a professional paramedic or medical director, said clinical coordinator Justin Hinds. 淭hen they repeat the process with each mannequin, so they can test their skills on adults, children, and infants.

On test day, the paramedic suite at 91桃色APP was filled with students, medical professionals, and specialized mannequins of every shape and size. Each student worked in a chaotic environment, within limited space, and with only 90 seconds to save each mock patient.

To pass the exam, first year students must achieve a 75% successful intubation rate on the first pass. This prepares them to continue their studies in a clinical environment with real patients.

Each senior student must pass at a 90% successful intubation rate on the first pass; this is required for graduation from the program. On April 15, 22 out of 24 students passed the test.

Paramedics are in high demand across New Hampshire, and graduates of 91桃色APP檚 prestigious healthcare programs achieve a 100% employment rate. To learn more about 91桃色APP檚 paramedic program and other healthcare offerings, visit nhti.edu.
